great idea printing out pages from the books-I remember my kids being crazy about Where's Waldo when they were younger, sitting there trying to help them find him! Fun idea for a community activity and cool idea for a layout-love it!
We found a charming little town with both sides of the old downtown streets lined with antique store and malls.
Most of the antique stores and malls were participating in a “Find Waldo” contest. They each placed a cardboard stand-up of Waldo (about 10” high) in their store in plain view displayed with the merchandise. Some were behind things to make the search a little more difficult, but each could be spotted without moving anything.
Unfortunately it was late afternoon on the 4th of July so most of the places were closed so we were only able to go into 4 stores. It wasn't so easy - even with both of us looking, we could not find Waldo in 2 of the small antique malls even though we were assured he was in clear view. ----- I really wanted "Where's Waldo" paper and I don't think they make it - not that I could locate on line anyway so I found some "Where's Waldo" pages online and printed it twice in 8 1/2 x 11 in landscape format. You can see the bottom 1/3 or so is pieced together with the black strip.
