So cool - I have never seen a white one either. (Birds & summer - I'm so happy for you. We had -40 temps here last week, now it's raining, tomorrow it will all freeze up again - wonderful!)

My guess is that this is a mutant albino turtle dove - we don't have turtle doves here, but instead have mourning doves - they're quite similar - will be waiting to here what the bird society has to say ~

By golly, why didn't you say those birds all over underfoot in Hawaii were turtle doves? ;-) My Dad used to raise white doves and sold them to release at weddings and Greek Orthodox church services.

White Turtle Dove

Was sitting watching the birds today and realised we had a white Turtle Dove. Have sent an enquiry to the Qld Bird Society to see if they are common, as I have never seen one before.
