This was for the challenge at Swirlydoos. The challenge was to make a dimensional embellie from a die cut to be used on a project- so fun right?? Oh and we were to use at least 2 art mediums on the embelie too (ie: Gles, glazes, paint, etc)
For my base shape I used a snowflake cut from cardboard. I had so much fun using lots of art mediums on this.
First I used Gesso, then sprayed Glimmer Mists, then added some Anthology Paint, then Crackle Paint, then added some German glass glitter and beads for more texture.
I wrapped a strand of translucent pearl beads around the tips, added 2 stick pins, and then punched a small hole for a jump ring for the chandelier bead dangle, and then topped it off with the metal snowflake in the center.

I made a few other embellies for the layout too. The frosted branches were made from vasefiller beads and german glass glitter.
The poinsettia was die cut from a metal sheet, embossed, and sanded, with gold beads for the center.

I need to take a new pic of this- I have since added the title "Eyes Full of Wonder" and some extra details.
Photo is my DS his first Christmas 9 months old.
