This was the first and only Snowshoe Hare I had ever seen on our place. For a long time we just saw its tracks in the snow but along came spring and we finally caught glimpses of him in and around our garden. He finally got used to us and I got as close as about 20 feet from him in order to take this picture of him by our barn. We only saw him one or two seasons and that was it. I've always wanted to see one in the winter because they turn white. He sure was a cute little guy, well not little, but cute!
