A photo taken by my Mother in law, who grew up in Devon.
The gnome is a reference to my husband, who likes them. Hes also standing for pixies , a little bit like fairies , from mythology that live at Dartmoor but all over Cornwall and Devon too.
The piece of Swedish wrapping ppr at the upper right and the garden scene at the left edge stand for my FIL. He likes to keep the traditions of Swedish culture.
Not far from here is Tintagel, where King Arthur, according to legend but not disproved, was born. I did a lo of it awhile ago.
The photos from Tintagel were spectacular, some of the most beautiful countryside, just awe inspiring. Its high up on cliffs by the ocean.
Thanks for looking, and any comments are most welcome!
Also, the texture paste is put on with a stencil made by using different sized round punches on a piece of cardboard. I used a doily at the top and bottom,in small areas.
The alphas have layers of stuff, gesso, paint, crackle , ink, embossing powders.
I used embossing powder also without a heat gun . I put a thin layer of clear accents on and the loose powder sticks. I thought it gave an interesting look.
I tried to make the paper look like waves in the beginning by spraying with water, then making "waves" . They dont show up too well, but sometimes thats how it goes ,lol.
