This is for MSC - Week #3. (Cool sketch, Mel!!) I did the twist which was to use red on your page.

It's also for a recent (January?) VLB challenge to use a one word title.

One hot summer day, DD and I were at the park. It was blazing hot after awhile, so she just ran through the water sprays with her clothes on. I didn't blame her one bit!

The chevron photo mat is a shape from the Silhouette store. It's actually meant to be a Project Life card, but I stretched it to fit my photos, and then did the red as an offset of that piece, and welded it to the title. (I love that you can weld letters to shapes so you only have to cut one piece!) I used the cut-out chevrons as accents on the top and bottom. I'm not really sure why I ended up slanting it, but I think it gives the whole page some movement. Finished it off with some chippie pieces and washi.

Full disclosure: I did not use two full sheets of paper for this. Since I wanted to use the back side of this paper, I cut it down to 10.5x10.5, distressed the square piece, and then cut the 1.5" strips down and positioned them so they would look like a separate piece underneath the main piece.
