wowwwwww you caught a rainbow... but you actually got to see it touch down.. I never knew where the pot of gold reference came from. I love your story and this is so beautifully scrapped. Wonderful little touches all sprinkled about.
This is my March project for The Paper Mixing Bowl.
The photos are from last year. After a much needed, seldom seen rainstorm passed through, the rainbow that followed visibly touched the ground in my lower pasture. I've never seen such a thing, but I guess the angles were just perfect for the light to refract right there in the grove between the oaks. The light separated and spilled over the grass in a warm yellow glow. I know now where the term "pot of gold" comes from.
It was an incredible sight - and I had to grab my camera to document it, but there is no way the photos do justice to the real thing. I just feel so blessed to have witnessed it at all.
I loved the March Paper Mixing Bowl specs. They provided the perfect combination of specs to work up these photos. The pink & green flowers are handmade from wired ribbon, folded in half, and then gathered up. The roses are Primas (of course). The lace is antique vintage - from an old estate sale find. I used some gold paint and a stencil to give a bit of overall glow to the whole page. The alphas are a combination of Thickers and rub-ons.
I'm so happy to have these photos finally archived in their permanent home in my "Around The Farm" album.
