April Mini Makes me Smile

This is a pair of acorn woodpeckers. The male is above and the female below. I hope they mate this season so we can see some little guys. They, by the way, are near impossible to catch near each other. I've been trying for weeks to get a shot of both, they take turns standing at the top of the tree keeping intruders at bay while eating.
