This particular card took a bit of time to create this week. I began on a Sunday afternoon and was feeling tired. However I was so excited to begin this project sleep was not an option. Being too sleepy, I mis-calced on my measurements and didn't cut the actual card long enough. Being frugal as I am I didn't want to waste paper and cut a new card, so I winged it and decided to drop the flamingo image lower than I planned. By end of day I felt as if I compromised my work. However, by end of project I think it worked out just fine. So the obvious details are the images and contrasting color paper framing work, in tones of orange and blues. Other details include the peachy-orange wide ribbon and blue brads. Sidebar: I thought of the brads after I had already adhered the tableau to the card. So I clipped the brad wings off and then glued to the card. When there's a will there's a way. The flowers, as usual, are all hand made. Thanks to the McGill's web site I have a plethora of floral how to do print outs. Blue baby roses at top, next to an orange poppy, followed by two baby mums. Below are a few more free flowing creative flowers. The large blue flower is the poppy flower in reverse. For the poppy flower the tear shaped points gather in the middle of the flower. For the blue flower, the points reach out not in. It's hard to see in the pic, but the large blue flower is more cupped shaped than it appears.
