I agree with livvy - it is an impressive shape, and I think maybe changing the color a little bit would make it more 'wintery' in my mind - even just using white or light blue paper instead of pink, although I like the inking idea if you want to keep the pink background. Maybe it is just me, but when I do winter pages I *always* go back to light blue, dark blue, white, and silver - kind of stuck in a rut, I guess, but there it is :) I would use it if it were one of those colors instead.
I think you are on the right track with this, but if I may offer some ideas?
I would try to thin out the main box. It kinda distracts away from the snowflake theme. if you have trouble, cut your foam tape in half lengthwise, so that it is skinnier.
Also, maybe try some inking on it, maybe with white or silver, to give it a "frosty" touch!
I do think this is a great start, you are brave to do such a shape for your second shaker!
