I created an altered shadow box filled with patriotic colors to honor my older brother Larry, who served in the US Navy. The box is a "drawer" from a Graphic 45 Matchbook Box Staples and measures 8x8 inches. I covered all the sides of the box with decorative paper. The dimension of the box was perfect for adding many lumpy embellishments to the altered tag.I stamped images onto paper and then cut them out with die templates. I also added rosettes cut from decorative papers.I think the saying about time being fleeting is a good one to use for this project. The photo of my brother was taken when he was 18 years old, and he is soon to celebrate his 62nd birthday! I am sure he will agree, that time is fleeting and precious.
