I made this layout in honor of Katie coming home (already!!) this Friday, May 3rd, for the summer! I can't believe that she has completed her Freshman year of college already. I wanted to scrap a photo taken at Penn State during Parent's Weekend last fall. (I used the Scrap That! kit that I won during their April blog hop, too! - -thanks Scrap That!) In addition, I am submitting my layout to the current challenge going on at Scrap Africa's blog - using triangles (my banner and the doily), confetti (the little hearts and stamped stars) and a black and white photo. Thanks Scrap Africa, for the inspiration!!! I was also inspired by Gabriellep's gentle distressing that I find in many of her layouts. Thanks also to Gabrielle!!!!
