Also look at business that are moving/closing and see if they're selling furniture or fixtures (usually mom/pop business will sell industrial quality furniture super cheap.
I need to get a program to then set up a soon to be spare room I'm turning into my scrap/craft room. Where or what is this program? It's an amazing idea you have but like Tribet said it really is doable. Good luck if you have the space that's the first step.
FUN! Like you, I won't have what I want for a scraprm anytime soon, mostly b/c of lack of space, but it's fun to dream, isn't it? What program did you use to create this?
Ikea has a lot of counter tops for cheap....just cleat the back wall and purchase some legs from the building store. You can probably have a desk like this for not much money. Find file cabinets at thrifts stores or garage sales and place them underneath. There are so many options on a cheap budget...but i understand if there is no budget then it would be hard. I will soon take pictures of my craft room and post them on line. My craft room too shares a bed for guest....Its a lot of mix matched furniture ...but its the fun part about making it cohesive. I found a old dresser out by the dumpster and my boyfriend fixed the bottom for me for 4.00 and now my dresser looks so cute in my room. Good luck with your room....and most importantly ....Have fun doing it. Patricia
This is a digitally created image of what I would want out of a scraproom. Since I'll be moving and have a double sized room, this is what I wish it could look like (it's not going to, since I can't afford to purchase a desk like that) but this is what I would have if I could.
