Well I think this was a great and economically-smart compromise. : ) ANYTHING is better than being stuck at the dining room table with your scrapping stuff in tubs/boxes and having to pull it out & pack it back up all the time. Having enough room to set up your own workspace so you can work on a project whenever you are feeling creative is truly a blessing, enjoy!! : )
Well, $2 K was going to be very fancy with built ins! But, after all the craziness we've been through this year and medical bills overflowing here, this will do! I'm happy with just a place to keep all my SB stuff and go and unwind and create!
My Prelude of a Scraproom. A work still in progress. I want to paint and get rid of the corny border & add wall shelves above work tables. The other side of room is next and will be for cutting board & Cricut. I wanted a fancy system for all but decided just moving out of the dining room would be Great! I made due with some bargain finds and other things I had around the house. I'm happy with it for now. Scrap Paper & embels, etc all in portable containers and that works very well for me. The fancy system cost would be about $2K. How much I spent here on furniture, lamp and storage so far...$250.
