I love this one!!! That great photo has real "attitude"!!! LOVE the lamppost, bench, and those ferns! Isn't the MS circle punch fun??? Really easy to use too! Beautiful heritage page!!!
Oooh, oooh! I love how you did this one!! I love the vintage look too. Great job on the chippies! Wonderful photo! Just a few days ago, while shopping for upholstery for my couch I got a text from a cousin who said he was sending me some pictures. Couldn't figure that one out as I never hear from him. When I got home he'd sent me 8 photos of my grandparents, mom and aunts from about 1930 through Mom's teenage years. I got pretty emotional. They were in awesome condition and I can hardly wait to print them out and do layouts. I've not done any heirloom layouts yet but now's a good time to start with those photos. Two of them have old-timey cars they are standing in front of. Anyway, your layout is awesome and gone in my faves!
Oh for the love! I can't believe I missed your last few posts! This is so wonderful, love your stitching, lamp post & what a precious photo to treasure. Fits perfectly on the paper just like you said!:)
This vintage layout is gorgeous! Especially love the bench and lamp post! Very sweet of Sue to let you borrow her punch! Every detail is stunning! Love it!
very beautiful and love the seat and lamp post.. so sweet of sue to bring her new punch for you to use.....she has so much scrapping gear I don't know why she doesn't post a few pages...xo
Love the sassy attitude in the photo, can't wait to see it irl to check out their clothes! LOL! Love the nature feel you put into this. Thanks for putting together my punch-that's what friends are for according to Abbygirl...If only you could transfer the ability for the photo to come to life once I take it home!
This photo came to life when I happened to set it on this gorgeous Pink Paislee Hope Chest paper; last time Sue was here she brought her new Martha Stewart circle punch for us to try out, and I cut the lovely doily with it.Chipboard and wood pieces were painted with acrylic paint, then crackle finish, then rubbed with ink for a distressed vintage look. The photo is of my grandfather George with his sister Maggie and my grandmother Clara, probably taken around 1920. Vintage shabby is my favourite scrapping style, and I'm happy with how this one came out; thanks for having a look!
