This LO is for the June BOM challenge.

I used this PP before on a LO I did for my dog but it worked perfectly for this LO also since our school colors were Blue & Gold. On the top right side the two pics are on a mat that I made hinges out of the same CS and if you lift it by the flower there is hidden journaling.

Journaling:
School wasn't always fun for me but it became easier and more fun once I reached High School. I wasn't the most popular, the best dressed and I wasn't the best student but I made the most of it. I did always have my two best friends, Julie and Missy, and we've been best friends since we were seven years old. We had some great times growing up together and even greater times in High School.

In the beginning of Senior year I remember a time when my dad sat me down one day to tell me that if I decided that I wanted to go to College once I graduated that he and mom would pay for it. But, if I decided not to go right after graduation then I would be on my own in the future. He wasn't being mean about it, he just wanted me to know my options and make a responsible decision. I told him that I didn't know what I wanted to do yet and wasn't ready for college. If I could make that decision over again I would have done things differently.

I had been in the school band since I was in 3rd grade playing the clarinet. Once I reached High School I also joined the marching band and in Senior year they formed a jazz band wich I also joined. However, the instructor said that I couldn't join the jazz band with only playing the clarinet because there was enough jazz music for the clarinet. This confused me because the clarinet IS jazz. So anyway, I told him to give me a saxaphone then and he did wich I picked up without a single lesson and I played both instruments in the jazz band.

My biggest concern come graduation was that in order to earn my class letter for band, one of the several requirements was that I had to sit with the band during graduation. I didn't think this was fair since graduation is to be spent with friends up in the stands and I had dedicated many years in the band I thought that for this one final event I should be able to be exempt. My parents agreed with me and since the letter ceremony was prior to graduation, I told the instructor that I would sit with them during graduation just to get my letter. However, come graduation day I didn't show up with the band but I walked in with my friends with no regret. The instructor gave me the evil eye as I walked by the band but I didn't care, and my parents supported me in this decision.

Graduation was the happiest day of my life at that point. I shared it with my frieds, family and even my grand parents drove eight hours from northern Maine to share it with me.
