I was given an 8.5x11 sketch and asked to create a page for the September PageMaps sketch. It can be located on their blog here: http://www.pagemaps.com/sept13pagemaps.htm [pagemaps.com] This isn't my standard size but it was easy to create with the sketch. I may end up mounting it on a 12x12 piece of cardstock or pattern paper at a later date. We'll see. Had a lot of fun using my stash to play with color and creating layers and embellishment clusters. Used a photo taken by my husband. Since there was a deadline, had to set a time limit of 2 hours from start to finish. Not bad. Used a PL journaling card as the base for my journaling strips. Although at first glance, you may not be able to tell, I tried to incorporate florals on this page: pattern paper, tissue paper flower, floral shaped button. I think mixing in different textures and dimensional embellishments helped to add interest to an otherwise flat page.On a side note, I can't believe I have used 4 of my Studio Calico vintage pattern flowers already. There are only 2 left. It will be a bittersweet moment when they are all gone. lol Oh, and all the pb&j pattern papers are all from a 6x6 pad - even the floral “banner.” The pattern of the paper helps to hide the seam where the 2 pieces come together (towards the bottom). Thanks for looking!Supplies: pp (Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper, pb&j BasicGrey, Provo Craft, Recollections), journaling card (Pebbles), punch (Jenni Bowlin for Fiskars, Fiskars), stapler (Tim Holtz), metal rimmed tag (Avery), ribbon (May Arts), stickers (Making Memories and American Crafts Daiquiri Thickers), tissue paper vintage pattern flower (Studio Calico), frame (Heidi Swapp for Pink Paislee), arrow clip (Freckled Fawn), buttons (American Crafts, stash) adhesive (Glue Dots, Zig glue pen, Scotch ATG)
