Gosh, I can't believe I used so many pictures on one LO! But I loved all these shots, wanted to use them all, and didn't want to hide them, so there you go :)<br><br>Journaling: January 1st, 2006. Since the year 2000, the Beauregard family has been getting together to celebrate the New Year. All the spouses are there, and the kids, the aunts, etc. There are about forty of us there. We go to the Havre Familial, near Ste-Béatrice. It’s roughly an hour-and-a-half from home. Technically, it is a summer camp for kids, but in the winter, they rent out the lodges. We always stay in the main lodge. There is a huge common room, where we gather most of the time to play cards, board games, or just talk. On either side are the bedrooms. Meal times are spent in the cafeteria, in another building. This year was the first time we were actually there for the New Year; previously, work schedules had made that impossible. It’s a nice and relaxing place to be; we can go out to play hockey on the frozen lake, slide down a huge hill on a tube, or go country skiing. On the first day of the year, we decided to go for a walk, with you in your sled. There is a beautiful trail that goes all around the lake. You were having a blast on our stroll. It was a nice, mild day, and I enjoyed taking pictures of everything. I’m usually not a nature-picture-taker, but everything was so gorgeous, I couldn’t help myself. Towards the end of the trail, we ended up at the top of the hill where you went down the incredibly fast slide with Alain and Alex. You smiled the whole three seconds it took to come down, but then you started crying; sliding was fun, but being away from mommy was not!
