I did this page using that great new Wild Asparagus paper. I just love it!Journaling: Originally I snapped these photos of Preston because I thought he looked so cute from behind in his little jeans. He was only one year old, but yet he appeared so big and grown up. I took these snapshots in the spring of 2004, but I didn’t get around to journaling and scrapping them until an entire year later. As I reflected on these pictures, my thoughts strayed past those cute pair of Osh Kosh jeans. I realized that this picture reminded me of the goodbye we were about to face, leaving Virginia Beach and the first home that Sterling and Preston ever knew. Not long after this picture was taken Chris was offered a job with Flowers Foods and we packed up the contents of our first real house and set out for a true adventure in a brand new state. I would finally get the opportunity to stay at home with the boys and Chris would fulfill his goal of getting a SAP position for a great company. I stared for a long time at the picture of Preston peering into the window next to our front door and it occurred to me that I did the very same thing right after I locked and closed that front door for the very last time. I stood there and stared inside. Important memories rushed through my mind. My eyes swept over the family room where we watched Sterling grow from a six month old baby to a five year old kid. I clearly pictured the exact moment that we brought Preston home from the hospital, as well as the first steps he took. It’s funny how one picture can stir so many memories and help preserve important pieces of our family’s history.
