Made in response the this week's challenge to lift a pea. I choose a layout by Melsboys entitled ‘I didn’t know'.http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/gallery/member/80411-melsboys/1738717-i-didnt-know/?c=t [twopeasinabucket.com]Loved the simple lines, which I thought would be perfect for the photo I had of the Christmas tree in my Grandparents' house… complete with brick interior walls, printed sofa, and rotary phone. I didn't want to crop down the photo as I didn't want to loose those elements.Journalling reads: Growing up it was always a tradition to gather at Grandma & Grandpa's house. They always had a huge tree in the same corner of the family room, and it always looked the same. As many of the seven brothers (and their families) would comme as possible, each bringing a dish for the pot-luck feast. Uncle Tim's lasagne was always a favourite. There was always a mountain of presents under the tree. Grandma and Grandpa bought a gift for each grandchild, and Great Nanny often knit mittens for each of the kids. Each grandchild also received a gift from one uncle. When the entire family was there it was a full house! Absent family were rung and the phone was passed to everyone to spread the Christmas Cheer. It was always a highlight of the holiday season, and of the entire year.
