I loved working with this Happy Day collection by Simple Stories. I have so many birthdays that I want to document and this was any easy way to do it!My son's third birthday was one of those outdoor barbeques with lots of guests (and lots of work for Mom). I didn't get very many good photos and when I did remember to snap a few, the lighting with terrible. I still wanted to document this birthday though, bad photos and all.I took two of my favorite shots (one that I took after the party) and made them the focal point of the layout. I then printed out small 3x5 photos and put them in a minibook right in the center of the layout. I made the minibook by cutting strips of the 3x5 cards that came with the collection. This made it a snap to put together.I love the balloon patterned paper and decided to cut a few out and add some dimension to them with wood sticks and buttons. A few stickers and huge “3” to emphasize my theme, complete the page! Thanks so much for looking.
