My dad has been scanning a lot of our old family photos lately so I end up having lots of pictures of my sister and I, our parents when they were younger (my age now! gasp!), and I love it! I've got this idea in mind which is to scrapbook a whole album of these photos. I have no idea whether I'm going to keep up with the 12x12 format, or work on 8,5x11 layouts instead, or even make a mini book, but for this photo, I knew I would use Amy Tan's new line, Plus One. This colorful and happy line is perfect for this happy photo :)I layered a 12x12 piece of vellum on top of my main background. that way, I keep the contrast of that cool paper, but soften it a bit. Then I layered 2 different patterned papers : the yellow one first, then honeycomb one.I also used Dear Lizzy's brand new wood veneer 3x4 cards, that I embossed with blue Zing embossing powder. For my title, Amy Tan's Plus One Word Thickers were just perfect to get that freestyle look!
