This is the LO for my Favorite Quote for turtlelady's UNCJ. Journaling reads:
My heart has joined the thousand for my friend stopped running today.
This quote is from a book called Watership Down by Richard Adams. The book is about a bunch of rabbits that escape from a warren that is about to be destroyed. It is about their adventures as they try to establish a new warren. Along the way one of the main characters, BigWig, is caught in a snare. His friends try desperately to free him from the snare and finally they succeed. When the snare is loosened BigWig is still not moving and Hazel, another of the main characters, utters the quote "My heart has joined the thousand for my friend stopped running today." Because they think BigWig is dead. He is not dead but the emotion and feeling I got when I read that line was so overwhelming. I shed many tears while reading this novel. If you have not read it I suggest that you do. Although it is about a group of rabbits it is also about so much more
