Last week we stayed in Chama, NM so d/h could snag salmon. The fishing wasn't good, but the scenery was terrific. Chama is the home of the Cumbres and Toltec Railway, the longest and highest narrow gauge train in the nation. Established in 1880, it was originally part of the Denver & Rio Grande Western narrow gauge railway that ran from Denver to Santa Fe. Just happened to catch the last engine leaving for Antonito on the last day of the season. Always a spectacular sight.
