Since it is Veteran's Day I thought I'd make a LO of my Dad. Tge smaller photo is Dad in New Caledonia.
Journaling: this is a photo of Ralph Mehall in his dress clothes. I'm not sure when he enlisted, but I think it was 1942. He would have been twenty years old.
He was very proud to have been a Marine. He taught his kids to sing "From the Halls of Montezuma". Ralph was stationed in New Caledonia during World War II. My brother Mark thought Dad saw action, but didn't talk about it.
Ralph's two brothers Pete (Lawrence) and Tim were also in the Military. His brother John wasn't.

The background paper is from a K and Company pkg. My sister gave it to me. It is really a "Navy" package. Dad is probably rolling over in his grave.
The tank and compass were the only things left on an old sticker sheet that was also K and Co. The title was cut with my Silhouette.
