After touring on the ATV we turned the vehicle in so we could spend time walking around the town. Bill found a HUGE pelican and tried to make friends with him. I didn't know pelicans got so big and neither of us knew they came in coral color! He was so pretty. He was also very used to tourists and completely ignored all the tourists with their cameras. About 30 of us formed a tight circle around him and he just preened his feathers for about 15 minutes with everyone snapping pictures.

We noticed a sign in a little sidewalk café right by the sea – they had mango gelato! Then we were very disappointed that they were sold out of the mango so we settled for a cup of chocolate gelato and every bite was delicious. We spent about an hour sitting at the table and watching the water and the boats and the other tourists.

The waves were a bit wild and came right to the top of the sea wall! The café policy was – if a wave comes over the wall and gets your food wet – it's free. They did give out a few free meals while we were there when the waves splashed over the wall. Bill got a great picture of the water splashing up over the sea wall right next to the restaurant.
