My cousin Stephanie graduated from high school in June 2010. I've included her announcement and party invitation here along with a photo of her and another cousin of ours. IRL the photo isn't so dark. I wrote their names next to the photo with silver pen. Also, IRL, the letters at the bottom match the color of the lettering on the graduation announcement almost exactly.

This is my example for my June Four Categories Challenge - Category Four ~ Theme: Grads and Dads. I chose Grads, and I did the twist to have a prominent number on the page with the 2010.

This is for:
1) June Music Challenge - Lyrics. The lines at the bottom, "don't tell me the sky is the limit when there're footprints on the moon," is printed inside the graduation announcement as their class motto, so I featured it on the LO. I haven't been able to find the origin of the quote, but it has been used at least twice in songs with slight variations. This one is closest to the lines used in the song There's a World Out There by Paul Brandt. (He leaves out the word 'when' and uses 'there's' instead of 'there're' - a verb agreement problem that really bugs me.) Will.i.am also paraphrases it in his song Reach for the Stars. The twist is 'dots.' The blue pp has a subtle polka dot pattern on it, which you can see pretty well if you click on the LO and zoom in, and I also used 2 gems on the ends of the small strips of pp.

2) June Sewing Challenge. I machine stitched around the edge of the blue layer and the inside white layer. The twist is to sew a sun or sunburst pattern. I hand stitched one in the upper left corner with a mix of light blue and light yellow floss.

3) VLB challenge to include any type of sun on a page.
