Whenever I see a band photo pop up in the Boys/Girls challenge, I can be pretty sure it's yours! =) I see one of your 'special ingredients' again! Is there a prize for spotting without reading the description! (JK :) )
Beautiful masculine LO, Elizabeth!!!! Everything is perfect....especially the way you made this LO a reflection of the photo and event in your work. Fave
I love the way you cut the tuxedo paper to better fit your layout. It couldn't be more perfect. Love, love, love this layout! Your metal accents are such a great addition. Love it all.
A fabulous elegant and classy page of amazing scrap work . Awesome pps and embellishment ,stunning photo of your handsome young man. PS love the texture of the jar opener.
Wow! I love this one! The first word that came to mind was "classy". You are always so creative and I love all of your details and how you use unexpected items. I think that's a great photo of Daniel! :o)
Oh, this is just elegant! Black tie all the way! I love the embellishments you chose! Nice job with inks and the dimensional glossy accent is perfectly utilized! Love the red ribbon, the buttons, etc., etc., but most of all, I love that handsome young musician! What. wonderful way to capture a special memory.
(Eliz I'm in love w/Renea's chunky glass glitter too!:) Wonderful l/o! I really like your touches of metal - and you clever and unique use of elements~
beautiful design, pprs, colors, and handsome young man! So interesting and fun to read all the elements you put together. Sorry, but this doesnt look simple to me! Love the argyle ppr, feather, tux pic,and treble clefs. Amazing page!
AWESOME & AMAAAZING !!!!!!!!!! I dearly LOVE how it turned out. I just can't figure how you did it!! I bet it took you a L O N G time to put it together. Fantastic job Elizabeth<< Hugs
Oh girl, you cease to amaze me with your creations! This is absolutely out of the park lovely! The tuxedo paper is so perfect for the photo of your handsome boy! Of course you used off the wall stuff, it wouldn't be you if you didn't! I like the feather, great accent!:)
Well folks, I really struggled with this one but in the end I think I like the simpleness of it! I know I love the color scheme of red, white and black! It took me days of going back and forth choosing papers. I knew I wanted to use the tuxedo paper but I didn't care for the position of it on the original piece. It was on the left side with the music on the right side. I cut it down to place in the middle and just used pieces of the music paper randomly.
This is my youngest son, Daniel, taken on Graduation Night 2010 when my oldest, Samuel, was graduating. The concert band always plays at the graduation ceremony and I thought he looked so handsome in the tux. (For some reason, he doesn't like the picture!)
I embellished on the buttons that were on the tux by using a pretty trim I got at Hobby Lobby in the upholstery section! The white stuff under the picture is actually a jar lid gripper pad I got at the dollar store! The frame was cut on my Cricut from a fish sticks box and the nameplate was a fruit snacks box! I used the Creative Memories Reminisce cartridge. On the frame, I just inked it in with Tim Holtz Black Soot distress ink pad and then spread Glossy Accents and sprinkled Clear Chunky Glitter Glass from Reneabouquets! I love that look. The feathers are from Hobby Lobby as well as the clocks (The Paper Studio Spare Parts) and resin lanterns. My best friend gave me the treble clefs and I inked them in a bit with Tsukineko Dew Drops in Brilliance Platinum.
The flourishes are Mambi Sticks and the notes I think are from Jolee's Boutique but I'm not certain about that! The tux paper is Art Warehouse by Danelle Johnson The argyle paper is DCWV The white with silver swirls is American Crafts cardstock The red border paper is Colorbok Rosewood Paper Pack.
Thank you so much for stopping by. I appreciate all the comments and votes! xo
