Sheila, this is just beautiful - love that precious photo - so great that you have that! Love the little faucet, teacups and spoons. I like how you turned down the top corner, too - the pps are just perfect for this and the little flowers are such a nice touch - love the way you punched the borders and then tore them, too... just beautiful!!!

That photo of your mom is just the cutest! I can see how much love went into this layout. Your country papers and embellies are perfect for the setting you describe of where the photo was taken.
Such a treasure! Beautifully done! My in-laws were born in Oregon and we still have ties in the Salem, Independence area. I'm partial to Northern CA where I live but Oregon is such a beautiful state!
It really is a work of art! I would love to see it framed : ) Cool stenciling~ I took a close look @ the tea cups; beautiful work!! (I like how you hung them from spoons:) This l/o makes me smile~ I like the colorful G45 ppr and all the punching too; I could look and look~ TFS
Your layout is a real treasure, Sheila! I absolutely love the photo of your mom and the wonderful story behind it! Your details and amazing design really show all of the love that you put into this awesome work of art!
How adorable. I think you should write up the story of this and include it somewhere in the layout or on the back. Such great memories. Love what you did on this. It will be a family heirloom.
This is a photo of my Mom when she was about 4, drying the dishes. This was taken in 1951. She always wanted to help my Grandma dry the dishes. They lived in Oregon in a town named Walton. They had chickens, so I thought the chicken border under the fence and little basket went well. I inked, crackle painted and stamped the tea cups at the top (thanks for the chip board Mellissa and Gina's designs) I used some raffia I had for the lacing with some punch work. The faucet is from Prima, Antique Tub and Faucet. The pearls are from a bag full I got at an antique shop when I was out of town and the lace is from a friend that sews and gave me a bunch of her scraps. I did some zig zag sewing along the outside punch work, but its hard to see. Also on the circle and photo.
Have a great weekend and thanks so much for stopping by~ Hugs
