Halloween is right around the corner and what better way to celebrate than with an album! I created this Mixed Media Album using the Rare Oddities collection.

I used old photos of my daughter when she was a little one to adorn the pages of the album.

I kept the techniques simple as the intricate designs in this paper collection truly speak for themselves. I altered all of the pocket pages that came with the album. I used chipboard tabs from the collection to cover the tabs of each pocket page. I placed a black flower on the back of each of the tabs to add interest and a fun twist.

The cover is adorned with layers of fussy cut images from the collection and to top off the design, I added a large, black feather to the upper corner of the cover. The album is kept closed by a strand of grosgrain ribbon which I adhered just under the cover design.

Tip: Custom albums can be fun and easy to make. You can make them as elaborate or simple as you like. Working with a coordinated paper collection like Rare Oddities can definitely make creating a custom album a joy!
