Journalling reads: For a long time, you haven’t been very good at going to sleep on your own. When you were in your bedroom, you slept for a few hours, before waking up and coming into our bedroom crying for a cuddle. Most of the issue is because you hate being alone, even in our bedroom you won’t go to sleep unless either me or daddy are upstairs with you. When daddy was working a twilight shift, we decided it would be fun to have Anna and Caitlin over to play and have pizza with us. It was a fun evening, but when they went home, mummy still had a lot of things to get done before going upstairs, including washing and a huge backlog of computer stuff. So rather than upset you and argue with you over going to bed, Mummy decided to let you drag pillows, blankets, puppy and various other stuffed animals downstairs, and help build a nest for you and Leia on the sofa. You both snuggled up and quietly watched the Disney channel, until your program was finished and when Mummy checked you were fast asleep, snoring softly and looking utterly adorable. Leia decided not to sleep on the sofa with you, instead she chose to build her own nest in the pushchair and chat to her dolls while she waited for Daddy, she still refuses to go to sleep without seeing Daddy first, and is too little to understand the time, but at least Mummy was still able to get done most of what needed doing. Luckily when he got home, daddy was able to carry you upstairs, without waking you and tuck you into your own bed. I have no doubt I am going to miss it when you decide to go to sleep all by yourself. 11th November 2015
