I scrap in the extra (very small) bedroom and keep my scrap stash in the closet. To make the closet more effective, I have purchased an over the door shoe bag. I keep my favorite punches and dies in the pockets for easy access. Since the bag is inside the door, it disappears when I close the closet door, but I scrap with the door open giving me access to the stuff in the closet as well the stuff in the shoebag.
If money weren't an issue, I would want to get one of the closet companies to redo my closet storage for more efficient scrap storage.
