There is a pavilion used for big functions right on the water on Hickam AFB. Now its joint base Hickam-Pearl.
Anyway if it isn't in use, then anyone on base can walk up to the pavilion and have lunch there or at any of the picnic tables around the pavilion.
Bill often takes his small portable electric grill and we bbq ribs or chickens at night in the dark in this open pavilion.
Every time we go to Hawaii we eat here a lot - often we pick up a bucket of Popeye's chicken and eat here.
You can see the water an if you look to the middle right side you can see Diamondhead.
