I always do monthly summary pages in my albums as an overview and to include random odds and ends, if I have any, that won't fit on other LO's. For 2010, I settled on a much, much simpler concept than the themes I used for '08, '09, and '13 because I find I get burned out doing 12 similar elaborate LO's. (You can see the themes I used for 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2013, as well as the others for 2010 in my gallery in the Month LO's album.) I am adapting an idea from an old Creating Keepsakes Magazine article for these 2010 monthly LOs.

I've included a selection of photos from the month: a selfie of me after a hair appointment and my dd blowing bubbles in the backyard on the left...snow on my back patio on the first day of spring, playing a game during Earth Hour, my dd out to lunch with me, some area flooding, a robin, and my Yorkie Abigail on the right. I wrote our schedule/calendar info from the month around the outside edge of the left page. The block on the left page serves as a pocket for some 'extras' from the month. The little rub-on tag near the bottom of the title block documents the book I started that month as part of my project to read the 100 Greatest Books Ever Written, The Arabian Nights. I added a couple brads and did some doodled stitching on the circles and around the block on the left.

This is my example for my January Four Categories Challenge - Category Four ~ Theme: Calendar. I did the twist to have a word found on a calendar in my title.
