On our 40th anniversary road trip, we visited the lovely town of Scottsdale, Arizona. We went to Don and Charlie's restaurant to dinner. We walked in the door and a look of shock and awe came over my husband's face. He gasped and said..."Honey, that is Willie Mays." We came face to face with a living legend. He was baseball at its best, and there he sat in the flesh and blood. My husband was able to speak with him briefly and he signed his book. Awesome. 84 years old. Legend.
