Oh my goodness this is so frightening! I can imagine how emotional this was to scrapbook but so glad you did! Sometimes it's therapeutic! Love how you did this page and how sweet that her brother saved the cap for the scrapbook knowing you would use it!
I've never been able to get myself to sit down and complete a page about my ds and his struggle with allergies. I really should try, thanks for the inspiration. Love that your doctor knows you well enough to know that was for the scrapbook! LOL Terrific page!
Wow - what presence of mind you had to be taking pictures at the same time as this drama was unfolding! Great for her scrapbook and thank heavens she's ok!
Oh boy that is one thing which is very scary. My daughter is allergic to all tree nuts. She just had an Indian sweet dish made with cashews and I could see it happen. From then on, I am so careful but still a little scared when entering kindergarten.
poor baby! SCARY!!! Good thing you scrapped it, good for those of us to see allergies are everywhere and to beware~! Love what you did with the old clocks! great inking!
wow, how scary. I always feel that's it's important to scrap the tough times as well as the happy. although it's a tough topic it's a great looking layout
Oh my gosh...you can sure tell the terror on her face. You must have been beside yourself during this crisis. I'm so glad she was close to the doctor! Sure like the strip journaling.
my gosh so scary but look at the smile in the after photo! You did a great job of capturing this part of her life. I thank God it wasn't any worse. I love the touch with the epi pen tip with the bow and the stitching. I know from experience when something like this happens - it is afterwards when you think what could have happened that it really sets in and takes hold of a Momma's heart and nerves.
I can only imagine how frightened you all must have been. Thankfully she received medical attention in time and you were able to snap the photos of your happy little girl. Love how you did the journaling strips and the way you stitched your alphies on to the pp. GREAT lo.
So glad your DD is ok now and to see the photo is so scary! You did a wonderful with the layout and I hope it helped you work thru some of your feelings about what happened. May God bless you and your family!
What an intense story, but we can certainly be thankful for the outcome! Love the layout you created, especially the list journaling and the epipen embellishment.
Thanks for sharing her story!! I hope it brought some healing even while it was hard. You've used a great stash of products to build this sweet layout!!
Holy cow, what a scary thing to happen. I know we heard about it but to see her in pictures is even more scary!! Glad it turned out OK, within minutes!!
The Title "Saved" caught my attention, so glad your little girl is o.k. I know how scary it is when you come near to loosing a child. Your layout is very nice. Take care of that little angel :)
This was a tough layout to get through. After having six children, none with any food allergies, my "baby" suddenly went into full blown anaphylaxis after eating a cashew. It turns out that she isn't even allergic to cashews...it was cross-contamination from the almonds in the can of nuts! For the layout I cut the title with my Explore and then used a variety of products that have been sitting in my stash. The clocks are Heidi Swapp from so long ago, I can't even guess. The green arrow is from that "other" site that folded a couple years ago. The blue embellishment tied with a bow is actually the top of the epipen that was used to save her life. My 8 yo son picked it up off the floor of the doctor's office once she was stable. He even said, "for the scrapbook."
