Oh man...I WANT TO BE ON THAT BEACH!!! It is gorgeous. I like you used a photo for this page. Your story telling is so interesting. I have learned so many things from your travels.
Thursday, March 21st, 2014 - We woke up excited with plans of spending a beautiful sunny day on the beautiful sandy beaches of the Seychelles! Yesterday was frustrating but I knew today was going to be perfect (and it was)!
We finished a Belgium waffle and egg breakfast and hurried off the ship and onto the shuttle with bathing suits and beach towels in our backpack along with our tablets and cameras.
The shuttle dropped us off in town near the bus station. Then our plans got diverted. There was a local open market by the shuttle drop-off and we decided to check it out before going to the beach in case it was closed later. We learned yesterday how seriously they take the phrase “on island time”. We both fell in love with a beautiful large clam shell with both sides perfectly intact. It was snow white with lots of scalloping all over both sides but what really dazzled us was all the pink spotted accents! It was stunning.
However, we did not fall in love with the price. We just couldn't justify spending that much on a clam shell so we decided to walk away from it.
Then we spotted a back street which Bill thought it might be a short-cut to the bus station so down that back street we went. Halfway to the end of the street we stumbled across a place that made license plates. I think Bill has a second sense or a built-in radar system to find these places!
