After we left the museum, Anthony showed us his house, his grandfather's house, his parent's house and out on the street we met his grandparents, his brother, sister and his mother. His mother owns a little coffee shop where Anthony took us to use the internet after our tour. Since we were only 10 minutes from the ship we told him we would walk back to the ship when we were through checking our email.

There are beautiful old city walls around much of St. Helena and also gates we had to pass through when we walked (or were driven) the short distance between the port and the city. When we were walking from the city towards the gates to get back to the ship, I noticed there were stairs that went to the walkway on top of the overpass over the gates.

A man was standing on top of the overpass by himself so I asked Bill to walk up for a picture in a few minutes when the man came down. The man just stood up there and didn't look like he was going to come down anytime soon, so I asked Bill to go up there for pictures anyway. The man asked Bill if we were having a good time and how we liked the island.

Bill told him it was a beautiful island and that we were really enjoying our day here today. He also told the man that we had met a young man named Anthony who had given us a great tour. The man told him Bill he knew Anthony and he was an outstanding young man, that we were very fortunate to have him for our guide today.

Then Bill said, “You are really dressed nicely in a suit and tie. We haven't seen any other suits and ties on the island… what do you do?”

He casually replied, “I'm the Governor.”
