Amazing photo. You really have made quite a memorial book for the WWII history in France. My former father-in-law was in Normandy in WWII so it is fascinating seeing what he would have seen and experienced.

Wow, what a contrast. The beautiful beach and water and the horror for the men who landed there. Makes my heart hurt. Beautiful job memorializing this.

We arrived early to Utah Beach and had the place pretty much to ourselves. The top photo looks a bit darker than is it in RL. The beaches in Normandy are just beautiful. It's such a contrast to what happened on them. I was standing on the dunes by the gun from the previous LO for this view. There's still wooden posts and twisted wire.
