Since poodles and golden retrievers are both know for being water dogs we were really excited to get Sunny into a pool this summer. From the moment she got her paws wet she was great at it!!! She doesn't like jumping from the edge of the pool, but she does like jumping off the steps. She will swim for hours!! Its kind of amazing really. She especially loves it when kids play volley ball in the pool...she swims after the ball back and forth until eventually we just give it to her. Then she does a victory lap. haha Its a nice way to all play together as a family and keep her cool in the scorching summer heat. Fair warning, make sure you check your filter after the dog has played in the pool....its like a fur coat in there!
