A new apartment was built and decorated for each of Henry's wives, as none of his wives wanted to reside in the apartment formally occupied by one of his former wives.
When later Kings came into power they had King Henry's apartment (bedchambers and other private rooms) and most of the wives' apartments destroyed.
Anne Boleyn's apartment is one of the ones that survived destruction but it cannot be visited; it has been divided into employee apartments for current castle employees, along with the remaining apartments of the other wives.
The gatehouse to the second, inner court was adorned in 1540 with the Hampton Court astronomical clock, an early example of a pre-Copernican astronomical clock. Still functioning, the clock shows the time of day, the phases of the moon, the month, the quarter of the year, the date, the sun and star sign, and the high water at London Bridge. (Work was still underway on Anne Boleyn's apartments above the gate when the King, whom had become tired of her, had her executed.)
When standing in courtyard facing the royal clock, you can see 3 windows under the clock. Those 3 windows were part of Ann Boleyn's apartment. (The clock was added after her death.)
