Sunday, June 29th, 2014 – Another beautiful day in Norway! We enjoyed beautiful clear blue skies in Tromso today.

Norway has some of the most beautiful scenery in the world – it is breathtaking. However, it ranks #1 as the most expensive country we've ever visited! Normally we buy t-shirts and grab a meal out if we are hungry and we almost always take tourist transportation. We are especially fond of the little tourist trains.

T-shirts here have an average cost of $35.00 so we have not bought one in Norway, postcards are $2.00 - $3.00 so we haven't bought our usual stack of postcards. We wanted to ride the little tourist train around town which is usually $10.00-$12.00 for at least an hour. Here it is $28.00 per person for a 30 minute ride around town. We just couldn't justify the cost.

We walked into a Burger King to see how much a Whopper was – I've never seen $15.00 Whoppers anywhere else! But it got worse – we checked the menu at a little outside pub and hamburgers were $32.00! We thought a pizza would be good but the pizza place charged $39.00 for a medium pizza for 2 people!
