Once again we boarded the hop-on hop-off bus and made our way to the upper deck. When we passed St. Anne's Cathedral, the narration pointed out that Bram Stoker, author of the story of Dracula was married here! Last year we visited Transylvania and toured Castle Bran which Bram Stoker had seen and admired. So much so, that when he created the fictional castle for his vampire, Count Dracula, he modeled it after Castle Bran.
In addition to some ports in England and France, we still have 4 more ports in Ireland to visit on this cruise and I'm looking forward to every one of them. Ireland has just stolen my heart!
The cruise continues to be absolutely awesome but we miss our friends John and Joanne who got off in Amsterdam to fly home to Mississippi. We also miss Patrick and Tamara, the adorable couple who were across the hallway from us on the last cruise (we have the same cabin as we did when we all went around Norway together). They live in Haarlem, Holland so they only had a short drive home. We have already decided that when this cruise ends in Holland, not far from Haarlem, we are gong to take them out to dinner. Can't wait to see them again!
