Here is another picture from our hike on Castle Rock Canyon...which I now have realized is actually called Castle Wood Canyon. What a great memory I have! Not. So many people brought their dogs on the trail Every person and every dog was so friendly. DD probably pet 20 dogs in the 3 hours we were out there. It was great. We especially loved wathing them play in the cold stream. Of course it made us wish out puppy, Sunny was there.

I put together all these layers but you know me...it still looked empty. So I pained some gesso on the edges of the BG paper, added a little bit of ink, and then added some trail journaling. It is just notes and drawing for things that stood out to us on the hike. Like the lone tree and the other tree growing from in between two huge boulders in the middle of the canyon. A lot of it got covered up by the flowers and such, but at least its in there. I had a lot of fun making this one. TFL
