Nearly a month ago we put in a request in writing to our ship's captain to get special permission to bring Tammy on board the Prinsendam as our guest before the ship left the port. The captain approved the request so we ended the day by bringing Tammy onto our ship and gave her a tour. We showed her our cabin where we sat and talked a bit, then we showed her the Crow's Nest, spa, pool, hot tubs, a bit of the back deck, the theater, the formal dining rooms, some of the areas where we listen to music and play trivia, the library and several other areas of the ship. While we were showing her the Lido buffet we noticed that the ice cream bar was open so we all had an ice cream cone before she had to disembark. It was her first time on a cruise ship and I don't think it was at all what she expected. Especially our cabin!

She asked what the regular cabins looked like – this is a regular cabin (below, you can see part of the red bedspread). The only upgrade is we got a cabin with window. The size and layout are just like the inside cabins without windows.

Sometimes everything about a day is perfect. This was one of those days.
