Page 716 - Volume Challenge - Cherbourg, France

Friday, July 25th, 2014 – Today we were in Cherbourg with no clue what we wanted to do. We checked email and Facebook at the terminal building (we never pass up free wifi) and then joined friends from the ship on the little open tourist train.

We enjoyed that a lot – it took us by the harbor with all the boats. There are over 1,500 slips and there are as many boats. It is the largest harbor in the world for small boats and plans are in progress to increase it to 2,000 slips for sailboats, small pleasure boats and fishing boats. It really was impressive to see that many boats at once!
