After we got off the train we walked to a basilica and after admiring the beautiful stained glass windows and things inside the basilica we walked to the statue of Napoleon.

We walked back town and checked our email and then jumped on the ship-provided shuttle back to the Prinsendam. From the ship we could see the monument and plaque erected to commemorate where the passengers on the Titanic came on shore in Cherbourg. They were anchored away from the port (like we were today) and tendered to the dock on the Nomadic, the tender ship for 1st and 2nd class Titanic passengers on its maiden voyage; in fact the only voyage of the Titanic.

We got back early enough to catch afternoon trivia. It was fun – there were 16 questions and we got 15 right but unfortunately for us, another team got them all right. Hate it when that happens!

Saturday, July 26th, 2014 – Very nice day at sea – the only thing on the agenda for us was to get everything packed up and ready to leave the ship in the morning. Another fabulous cruise has ended.
