The next place Patrick and Tamara took us was Zaandam – to a place that had 5 or 6 old windmills from the 1600's – some still operating. I did not know that there were small factories which were located in the building at the base of each windmill. We saw a small saw mill which was still operating and being powered by the traditional Dutch windmill above it.

There were also a few animals, and a big wooden shoe to climb into for pictures.

The article on the bottom is in Dutch on the left and English on the right. I didn't type out the explanation, it is hard to read so I should have.
