Your mom was so beautiful then & all of your embellies & the blues complimented her photo's perfectly! I always love how you add so many special touches! You put your heart into your creations & it shows. You are amazing gf!:)))
Where do I begin?! This is my Mom at about 15 or 16 years old, and just look at those dimples! :-) Her favorite color was blue so I decided to go with that color for this layout.
I made this with the September 5 ingredients challenge in mind, as well as the Hoarders Challenge and Cricut challenge (this is my second submission out of three)! I also entered it in the Aug/Sept. Heritage Challenge. The five ingredients required are: Two photos, ribbon, doily, something glittery and patterned paper background. For the something glittery I used bling trim across the blue fringe as well as Stickles glitter glue on the little flowers.
For the Hoarder's challenge I have several items on here that fit that category: The bottom layer paper, the butterflies, the blue wooden hearts, the corner piece on the upper right and best of all, Mom's embroidered lace under the blue fringe. I've had all of those things for a long time and Mom's lace is at least 50 years old! It was still on the original cardboard holder! For the twist, I used a busy background and ephemera.
The Cricut piece is the hanger on the upper right and was cut with the Ornamental Iron 2 cartridge. I used white packaging paper and inked it with TH Salty Ocean and used Zing clear embossing powder and heat embossed it.
The lace flower I handmade and the center was from my best friend, Susie. I used 3 chippies from Creative Embellishments. One the leaf vine, I inked it with white chalk ink and then sprayed it with Glimmermist in Mantis and then inked the edges up with Dew Drops in Spanish Olive. The heart dangle was inked with the white and then I sprayed it with homemade glimmer spray. When it was dry I did a little stamping over it but you can't see it in this picture. The "Smile" was inked with TH Salty Ocean and heat embossed with Zing clear embossing powder.
The butterflies are pictures of the real thing that I printed out from my Print Shop program. I just love them.
The pretty blue lace appliques are from Pamela Joy Wright. The resin clock and pearl/rhinestone cabochon are from Gone Artsy.
The background paper is Kirby Teesdale Studio from Hobby Lobby. I did a little script stamping with TH Salty Ocean using his Urban Grunge stamp.
Thank you so much for stopping by my gallery. I appreciate your kind remarks and votes very much!
