Journaling reads: While we were strolling though the modern art gallery of the Crystal Bridges art museum, we saw a forlorn looking man sitting on a bench in an alcove. He seemed so sad and dejected, clutching a crumpled paper bag, all alone.

Time to do a double take - that isn't a real man! It's a piece of artwork titled "Man on Bench" by Duane Hanson (1925-1996), an artist who is best known for his hyper-realistic sculptures. We were so amazed and tickled by "Man on a Bench" and couldn't believe our eyes.

As we were leaving the museum, we couldn't resist the temptation to recreate the sculptural scene, with Greg being the man on a bench. He and I had a lot of laughs doing so, as did a family who was looking on.
